The geometry of Women's Specific Design road & hybrid bikes are designed for narrower shoulders and the saddles are built to a woman's specific design. Whereas ladies bikes have a low crossbar Women's Specific Design bikes have a crossbar as high as in men's bikes. This gives strength of frame for high speed and prevents the bike going in to a speed bubble.
